My Favorite Solo Destinations

“Always go with the choice that scares you the most, because that’s the one thing that is going to require the most from you.”

Caroline Myss

Sometimes I feel like I keep talking about solo travel but that's what this entire blog is for. Thats my niche and that's what im here to share with the world. As I type, I think all together I've traveled to 10 countries solo and well over 30 in my lifetime.

Can you travel to every country solo? Why not.

Are some better than others when it comes to being alone? Defiantly.

Today I'm going to talk about my personal favorites so far.

Iceland

Iceland was my first out of the country solo trip so it holds a place near and dear to my heart. Not only do I love it because I experienced these feelings while traveling it but its an insanely beautiful country. Iceland is a popular destination for many solo's because its one of the safest countries (you can google about it, it really is). There are so many fun outdoor activities/day trips to do you won't be bored here. If you visit during the winter don't miss out on a northern lights tour! I met this awesome girl Caitlyn who was also on her first solo trip and we've seen each other every year since meeting, I call her one of my good friends now!

Bali

Bali will forever be my favorite place on earth and a place I call home. From yoga in the jungle to partying underground there really is something for everyone here. One of my favorite things about Bali is how cheap it is to live there. I would never spend more than $5 on a meal which is crazy considering Miami prices. Rent can be as low as $200 a month in a nice guest house and you could probably find cheaper depending on where you stay. If you want to know more about Bali check out my Bali Blogs!

Traveling in Europe

All together I've traveled to about 6 countries solo in Europe and honestly I've felt safe in everyone of them. Europe is similar to the states in a sense. Mostly everyone speaks English so its really easy to get around and there are large cities filled with tourist. I originally was going to write out a few countries but then I found myself naming every country. So if you're looking for a semi close place to visit Europe is a great option. One of my favorite spots is Venice, Italy and Interlaken, Switzerland.

I lived in Italy for a summer and what a wonderful place to stay. From the food, wine, and language ugh, what a country. Italians are so sweet and will go out of there way to help you no matter what. I love Interlaken because its such an adventure town filled all types of actives to do like bungee jumping. (Highly recommend)

Bonus- The States

I feel like I always travel to other countries and never talk about the states because I dont really like them much. However, some states can be super fun to travel to and its more convenient if you live here. If you're looking for some states to travel to I would say check out Oregon, Utah, Colorado, and Washington State.
