ABOUT ME

Welcome! My name is Taylor Futch. I'm a travel content creator, vlogger, and now blogger! Growing up my family traveled a lot. My mother is a social butterfly who is super independent while my dad is the adventurous daredevil  .. little did they know they would create one crazy individual! I like to say I would try anything once, fun fact - I got the word “yes” tattooed on me. It's a great conversation starter. 

 

My first international solo trip was to Iceland in 2018. I kept asking my boss for time off while I had a christmas break in college and she kept denying my request. One day she decided to give me 2 weeks off, but by then I thought it was too late to book a trip. I had no idea what to do! I looked at flights and saw one to Iceland for the next day that was super cheap. I called my parents and asked them if they would literally send me to a psych ward if I went by myself, I almost thought I was out of my mind. They laughed and said go for it. Long story short..I haven't stopped since and don't plan on it. 

 

To be honest, the journey hasn't been a walk in the park. I've been hospitalized on a tiny island alone, followed at night, caught a robber in my villa, heartbroken.. you name it. However, that's the true beauty of it all. If I didn't have these bad times, I wouldn't appreciate the good. Everything happens for a reason and everything good or bad that's happened to me or you reading this, has led to this moment right now. I can't wait to share my journey with you and keep exploring this world.
